Experience across the full student journey.

I understand college planning from both sides of the desk—as an educator helping students prepare and as a higher education leader focused on access and opportunity.

My name is Javier Gonzalez, founder of College Fit Consulting Group, and I have more than 10 years of experience in education. I began my career in college admissions before transitioning into K–12 education, where I served in the classroom and in school leadership roles, including college counselor, assistant principal of operations, and director of college counseling.

Today, I work in regional higher education leadership. That range of experience allows me to help families look beyond rankings and identify colleges that fit the student academically, financially, and personally.
